‘Haunted house’ goes on Rightmove – with warning about ‘paranormal activity’

A Liverpool house has gone on sale with an incredible warning hidden in the small print – that it’s haunted by a 135-year-old poltergeist.

The undead resident once supposedly lifted a previous tenant out of her bed, using its unearthly powers.

The Rightmove listing says, ‘”Please note previous tenants have advised us that they have experienced paranormal activity at the property.’

The listing now appears to have vanished – although it’s unknown whether this is because they have found a tenant, or due to strange powers from beyond the grave.

The three-bedroom terraced house at 69 Pickwick Street in Toxteth, Liverpool, which has one upstairs window boarded up has been dogged by reports of paranormal activity since the 1800s.

The online listing describes the property as a:’three-bedroom terraced house in a popular location off Park Road, close to the Tesco Superstore.

‘It has two singles and one double bedroom, rear yard, upstairs bathroom and two living rooms.’

But the advert goes on to add the ghoulish message:’Please note previous tenants have advised us that they have experienced paranormal activity at the property.”

A spokesman for Plus Dane said:’Plus Dane received reports of unusual activity at this property in 2008 and worked with the tenant involved to look at ways in which we could help.

And from the Daily Star – this story…

Tenants can snap up the terraced home for just £91 a week.

But social housing landlords Plus Dane are keen to point out the building’s unwanted guest – nicknamed the “Pickwick Poltergeist”.

Their advert reads: “Please note previous tenants have advised us that they have experienced paranormal activity at the property.”

Former resident Lekeisha Davis fled from the house with her two youngsters after the spirit slammed doors and hurled objects at them.

“A Lucozade bottle just flew across the room on its own”

She said: “On one occasion my mum and sister were there and a Lucozade bottle just flew across the room on its own.”

Lekeisha believes she captured the spirit on film during her three-year stay at the house in Pickwick Street, Toxteth, Liverpool.

Yesterday a Plus Dane spokesman said they had mentioned the ghost as part of an “open and honest approach”.

He added: “We wanted to make anyone interested in this property aware of these past reports.”
