This short story happened to me last year. My wife had not been feeling too well, so I decided to sleep in one of the other bedrooms. I had gone to bed at approximately 12:30 am. I dosed off pretty quickly. I don’t know what time it was, or even how long I had been asleep, but I was woken up by the feeling of the opposite side of the bed, to where I lay, suddenly dip as if someone had sat on the bed. As this happened at winter time during the dark nights the room was very dark. I was lying on my left side facing the window, I thought that my wife had decided to come into the room where I was. I felt the bed sheets move as if she where getting into bed. As I lay there, I felt what was an arm slide over me, then I felt a foot slide between my legs. Without turning over, I stretched out my arm to the side of the bed where my wife would have been, but no one was there. I turned over on my back, and reached over to the other side of the bed and searched around using my leg, but the bed was empty. I got this cold tingling feeling all over.
I laid awake for some time, but eventually drifted back to sleep. Again, once more, I felt the bed dip down, but this time, I sat bolt upright, and stretched across the bed. Once again no one was there. I felt the same tingling feeling as before. Again I lay awake for some time before eventually falling back to sleep. I don’t know at what time of the morning both occurred, but after the second time I felt it no more.
Next morning, I asked my wife had she woken up at anytime during the night and came in where I was, to which she answered no, she’d had a great nights sleep. It has never happened again since, I’ve had friends stay over, in the same room, I haven’t told them of my experience that night, and they’ve never mentioned any untoward. I must add my house is 110 years old.
