This is my friend’s story. His mother told him this story, which happened when he was a baby, about three or four years old.
One day, he was playing with a toy with his mother. Then he said he heard the telephone ringing and picked up the receiver and began talking into it. His mother had not heard any ringing from the phone and was sure he was just playing with the telephone.
After talking into the phone for several minutes, he hung up and said, “Mom, that was grandmother. She said to tell you goodbye.”
At that moment, the phone rang for real. His mother answered the phone and she was surprised. It was the unexpected news that his grandma had just died.
