This incident occurred over twenty years ago in Calgary, Canada. My husband-to-be and I purchased a table and were bringing it home when one of our tires on our truck actually blew out. We thought nothing of the tire blowout at the time. We were in the process of moving into a new house and were just happy to have something nice to put in our new bedroom. When we finally got home with the table, we put it next to our bed. It fitted in nicely.

Over the next four months, my husband-to-be complained that something was watching him when he slept. He complained about this almost every single day. I tended to ignore this complaint because I thought it was just stress. At this time, he was going through a huge transition at work, and he never handled stress well. Well one night… finally, I woke up looking over at the table and saw the figure of a man sitting there staring back at me. I thought it was a hallucination or some trick of shadows and light, so I blinked and tried to focus my eyes. The apparition remained. He looked to be transparent and grey, though I could tell that his hair was, or had been, brown or black. This visitation lasted for just a few seconds. When he vanished before my eyes. I could see him fade.

We were both very uncomfortable and couldn’t sleep after my sighting. We finally got rid of the table and moved to a different apartment. We never saw the figure again—thankfully.
