A strange tale tonight submitted by Scott. He grew up in Manchester, on a housing estate and the house was invaded by a strange smell… see what you think!
I grew up on a council estate in Manchester in one of the towers blocks they built in the 1970’s. Our flat was on the fourth floor, and was pretty rundown. But the worst thing about the flat was the odour. Every now and again this smell would completely take over the house. It was a mixture of sweat, and vomit. The smell would appear and disappear seemingly at will. We never could find the source of this smell. The council came out and assured us it was not the drains, or the surrounding flats.
Now to my knowledge nobody died in that house. Some family lived there before us. Now a few years later my mother had a friend who said she was a bit of a psychic and he claimed that someone had died in that flat and that was his way of making himself known.
To my knowledge nobody died there—so is it possible that a person died in one of the surrounding flats but the spirit haunted ours?
