The Spectral Monk

09 November 2018 | Haunted houses, Your Stories, Your True Encounters

I’ve always been what some people call energy sensitive. When I was a child I’d see things, but now as a grown up I only feel them.

I have many stories, but one that sends a chill down my spine to this day goes as follows.

My father was born in Mexico, so when I was very little he decided to go back and live there for a while. The house we lived in was always under this weird heaviness. I always felt it but I was too young to know what it was. I hated it though. One day, my mother had taken my brother with her to run errands. He was only two at the time and very active. I on the other hand had a cast on my leg due to one of many surgeries I had that year.

Anyway, I was left by myself because she had no means to transport both my brother and I at the same time. She figured that since I couldn’t walk, I wouldn’t get myself into trouble. Well.. I didn’t but it was also terrifying for me not to be able to move on my own. You see, I believe this house sat on a layline. A portal of sorts to different dimensions. One of these days I was left by myself I clearly saw a man that looked like a Franciscan monk hovering from the bathroom to my parents’ bedroom. It stopped half way to partially turn and look right at me. This happened a couple of times. I told my parents and they thought it was the product of a child’s imagination.

Fast forward thirty five years, and now a cousin that lives in that same house has told other family members she sees a monk sometimes.

Scary. I’m glad I don’t live there anymore because that was just one of the many things I saw there.

Nope, I’m never going back. I hated living there.
