The Music

28 January 2019 | Your Stories, Your True Encounters

As a teenager, I used to practice lucid dreaming and one of the things I would do was that I could hold myself just right on the verge of falling asleep. And quite often I could hear something that sounded like, well like music is as close as I can come to describing it. I had told my pastor at the time about it and he said that I could be hearing what he called “the Choir” I don’t know, but to me, it seemed to like something was talking in musical tones.

After listening to it for a while, I decided to try and interact with the music by well, I guess by thinking it out as it were, to what I heard and my message was simply “Hello” and the moment I did it, the music stopped, and I got the impression of a lot of “voices” going “oh shit”. But nothing else, so I let myself drift off to sleep. The next night, I tried again and as soon as I did, I felt like I was under psychic attack, like something grabbed me and tried to pull me out of my body. I was able to break the hold of whatever I had felt grab me and snap myself awake. Scared me pretty bad at the time, but the next night I tried again, but I didn’t hear the music anymore, and I tried many more times over several years, but nothing.

I always wondered if it was something my mind had made up, or if it was real. All I can say is, it felt very real at the time. I just wanted to share this to see if anyone else has had a similar experience.
