The Lady in White

06 June 2019 | Haunted houses, Your Stories, Your True Encounters

This didn’t happen to me. It happened to my grandmother, who lives in Mexico. My grandmother says that one morning, she was awoken very early in the morning by noises in the kitchen. My grandmother checked her alarm clock, the time read 3:30. My grandmother figured it was my aunt who lives with her, my mother’s youngest sister. My aunt used to get up early in the morning to get ready for work. My grandmother called out to her, “Is that you in there Elizabeth?” No response, absolute silence. All the sudden, out of nowhere, my grandma hears their kitchen door close really hard. They had a front door, and an extra door in the kitchen. My grandmother gets up and goes to make sure everything is okay. There is a window in their kitchen, my grandma looks out the window and see’s in the distance, a woman with a white dress and long black hair walking. She remembers saying “That Elizabeth has no manners.” She went back to bed and fell asleep. My grandmother was awoken again by noises in the kitchen. She checked her alarm again, it read 5:40. This time it frightened her a bit cause my aunt had already left. Who could it be? My grandmother bravely calls out again, “Who’s there?” A familiar voice says, “Mom, it’s me! I’m getting ready for work.” My grandmother shocked, gets up and makes her way to the kitchen. My aunt was making coffee. My grandmother said, “I just saw you leave for work! I saw you and heard you! At 3 in the morning! My aunt looked at her with a face of confusion and shook her head sideways. My aunt then said, “No, I wasn’t up at 3 in the morning. I was asleep. Whatever you saw, wasn’t me.”

My grandmother never saw that woman in the white dress with long black hair again.
