The Doll That Moved

08 October 2020 | Haunted items, Your Stories, Your True Encounters

My daughter had gotten a job and needed someone to take care of the baby. I told her I would love to watch my grandbaby. I had a few baby things for her to play with but I wanted to get her a doll too. We were walking around in Goodwill when I saw the cutest little doll! I checked the baby doll out and it looked like new. I saw that it required batteries but I probably wouldn’t use that feature. When my granddaughter came over we would play with the doll and other toys I had. After she would go home, I put the doll in a chair by my husband’s office. One day I was in the kitchen when I heard a voice saying mama. I walked in the dining room and saw the doll sitting up in the middle of the room talking with arms moving. As I was walking toward the doll I was wondering if my husband was messing with me. He comes out of the office with an annoyed look on his face and said he was on the phone and its too noisy. Hair stood on the back of my neck when he said that. The chair the doll was sitting in was next to the office. The doll ended up sitting four feet from the chair. Some how it got off the chair and in the middle of the room. I checked the doll out. It was off. I have had the doll for a while and nothing else like this has happened. Every time I look at the doll I remember it talking and moving almost like a real baby!
