Visited there a few years ago and had a strange experience. In one of the big staterooms you get to, whilst standing by a fireplace, I suddenly became aware, as I looked down to the floor, I was where a very fine, cornflower blue, crinoline style dress – I could feel myself wearing it and I could hear it “swooshing” as I moved. The fire was alight ( wasn’t really). I swear, for a couple of minutes, I was transported back, or taken over by someone memories!!!
