In 2012, we moved across town into an older ranch-style home and the first night before we are moved in, my brother, slept there alone and told me the next day there was someone walking in the attic! At this time, I am in my thirties and trying to get back on my feet. I move home with my unemployed mom and noticed the walking noises as well. Every night we would hear him walk across the whole house and I named him the ‘attic man’ as the footsteps he produced were too heavy to be a woman. Slowly things started to happen. One night sleeping with my window open, I hear someone say “well are you going to let me in or not?” and I woke up. I will never forget that time as I thought someone was outside my home trying to get in so I grabbed my trusty baseball bat and search my house and then search outside and nothing was there, but I closed the window for the rest of the night.
Another night I was sitting alone in the front room watching TV and and in my peripheral vision, I was able to see out the window. That is when I noticed something walking passed it outside very fast and I named her the ‘B*tch in white’ as she only showed herself when I was alone and only when I was watching something that was scary. But she would walk so fast that by the time I noticed her out my eye she was gone before I could see her head on and she always had this white glow so that is why I named her that.
The last experience I had with her as I was in my bedroom and taking dishes from my room to the kitchen and it was 2 am almost 3 and as I walked down the hallway and it opened into the front room and kitchen there in white she was sitting right be the spot I would sit on the couch and I dropped the plates and broke them and let out this shocking noise, not a scream or a yell but a weird mixture of both and happened to wake up my brother who had fallen asleep on the couch.
I moved out of that house to a new house and expecting that a new start is what I need and my house is situated again where the windows in my front room look out to my backyard and every time I watch TV, I can see something walking past my window and I am starting to think she has followed me. Now I hear things in the middle of the night like cabinets opening and closing my bathroom light turns itself on and off and I could see it from my bedroom crease under the door the light turning off and on and I can hear someone walking. But every time I set up a camera with night vision or digital recorders to catch the walking nothing happens and I have started to think I am losing my mind.
I have left out so many smaller stories to condense this into something that isn’t pages long and I would be more than happy to talk with my family and get all their experiences as well if you want to know more about this but I feel the attic guy has been with me almost my whole life. I made sure this new house didn’t have an attic but now something is in my backyard walking around on occasion.
I hope you enjoyed what I have gone through and feel that maybe my depression is drawing my paranormal experiences to me as I still suffer from depression.
