Conflict Radio – Black eyed Kids
14 August 2020 | Black Eyed Kids, Demons, G. Michael Vasey's Nightmare Corner, Your Stories, Your True Encounters
Last night, I was a guest on Conflict Radio for an episode about Black Eyed Kids. In part two of the show, we talked with a man who has experienced the BEK. Not once but twice. His story was very disturbing and the podcast is well worth a listen if you have an hour of time. Not to spoil your enjoyment but the man first encountered the BEK in Manchester, England, when they tried to get a ride years ago. Having moved to Finland, he recently encountered them again on his doorstep. He said they were the same kids two decades later and one of them pointed to his van and told him it was a better vehicle than he had in Manchester! Listen here. You may also enjoy this…

British newspapers are carrying a story about the ghosts of Stan Laurel (of Laurel & Hardy fame). Mickey Vermooch of Scarborough claims to have met and talked to the spirit of Mr. Laurel in the derelict King’s Cinema in Bishop Auckland in Country Durham, England. He also claims to have photographic proof of the encounter. According to the Daily Star, he described ‘Stan’s voice as gentle and claimed the comic smelled of Macassar oil, a hair-styling product popular in Victorian times. He said: ‘Stan said he was at peace and told me, “This is where I had my happy times. This is where I belong”.’ Here is the photograph….. You can catch the full story here. What do you think?

According to a story in the Birmingham Mail , Manchester-based paranormal investigators Dale Makin and Justin Cowell, of the TV series Paranormal Truth, are set to venture into the forest of Cannock Chase with a ouija board in an effort to contact the enigmatic Black-Eyed kid there. Filming will take place next month and the show will air in March apparently. For background to the famous Cannock Chase sightings, here is a report we did earlier…. Cannock Chase is a place many have described as tranquil or beautiful. A part of England where few would ever dream of finding anything out of the ordinary. It is a place of dog walkers, fishing and natural life. It also seems to be a place of unnatural death. There have been several terrifying

This October we are going to bring you some of the most interesting #true paranormal cases we can find. You can discover more true, terrifying accounts of the paranormal right here. Dr. John Dee looked every bit like a wizard. By the end of his life, he had a flowing white beard and wore a skullcap over his thinning hair, so that he probably would not have looked out of place at Hogwarts. Edward Kelly, his sidekick, was an altogether different sort of character. He was a necromancer, a confidence trickster, and a commoner who used his ability to talk his way into money and power. One died an old man, living out his final years in relative obscurity back in England, while the other died a violent death

Imagine checking into your hotel room only to experience poltergeist activity? No? Well, the Holiday Inn Express in Leeds City Center apparently has poltergeist – at least according to this Tripadvisor reviewer.. This hotel is great value for money and is ideally situated in the centre of Leeds and no more than a 20 min walk to most places that you will want to visit. The bar area is fine and the breakfast cooked and the basic fayre that you would expect. The rooms are of ample size and the bed was very comfortable. Service from the hotel team was great throughout. Two things let it down for us and hence not five stars: – There were only decaf coffee sachets in the room and after a heavy night out,

This month saw the placing on the local real estate market of a small property in St. Osyth, Essex. That anyone would want to live there is, I think, unlikely but it may make for a wonderful paranormal business of some type and be an interesting investment as a result. The house is nicknamed ‘The Cage” and it has been featured in several television paranormal investigations. For what looks like a small village house was actually a mediaeval prison and one of its more famous ‘residents’ was Ursula Kemp, hung as a witch in 1582. The house was used as a prison up until 1908. Poor Ursula Kemp, like many older and lonely ladies of her time, kept a cat for company and did things like minding children, making herbal

The sound of throbbing engines is never far away from the busy Kent village of Headcorn. Its charming high street is always crowded with cars and motorcycles, as it is still a very commercial place of small shops, offices, supermarkets and banks, set either side of a road that leads from Maidstone to Tenterton and from there, on to the coast at Rye. This is a very pretty road and a favourite with both sports car enthusiasts and bikers, as it winds its meandering way across the countryside, I drive it a lot myself, a most enjoyable trip in a fast open car in early spring’ before the roads get tangled with tourists. High above the village, in the warm summer skies, still more engines can be heard, as Headcorn

The sundial in our garden has been telling the time for over two hundred years. It is accurate during the summer, and in the winter months can be adjusted slightly to be more or less accurate. It is only one of several sundials we own, these timepieces being an interest of mine. This is the story of the strangest sundial I have ever inspected, a sundial with just one purpose, a Dial of Death. Solar clocks come in many types, the technology is ancient, and time has been told using the shadow of the sun for thousands of years across all cultures. Starting with a simple stick fastened upright in the ground, to a bronze muzzle loading noon gun, fired with the sunlight from a lens, all types of sundial

Today we return to the reviews on Tripadvisor.com and to The Town House, Durham, England. It appears that one couple celebrating their anniversary had an experience they might like to forget……. My partner and I stayed for our anniversary, for one night. We booked the nautical room which was very cramped- especially for the price we paid. The location is very central, and ideal for seeing Durham. Overall, the hotel is well furnished and maintained, however, one word of warning, the room we stayed in was haunted! I must be the most sceptical person in the world- never believed in such things, however, clear as day a figure was next to the bed! (defiantly not associated with any alcohol) after my partner ‘felt’ someone/ something in the room- I turned

Recently, I wrote about my interest in ‘living ghosts’ in our newsletter. One of our subscribers kindly responded with this strange but touching story of a voice in the night…. My mother, grandmother and little brother had come to visit me in Paris. It was one of those hit-and-run weekenders, where they arrived late one Saturday morning and left early on Sunday afternoon. There was no time for them to come out to the village where I lived and worked, a short train journey outside Paris, so we celebrated my twenty-first birthday in Montmartre. It was a tearful leave-taking; it had been wonderful to see my family for the first time in a year. My mother and I had always been very close; so close, in fact, that more often
