I live in West Virginia. This is where my experience took place. I am now over fifty years old, but I was just over ten when this happened. My mother bought me a Ouija board thinking it was a game. One night while my dad was at work, we got out the board, lit a candle and put it in the middle of the table. We placed our fingers lightly on the planchette. Mom asked if there was anyone there that wanted to speak to us. I was giggling. She asked again. The planchette then moved to YES. I told mom she was moving it and she said she was not. My Grandfather passed away when I was twelve and I had to move into his old room – the one where he had passed. A few months later, I had a friend sleep over and we thought it might be fun to play with a witch board. So we lit some candles and decided to see if we could contact my Grandfather. Nothing happened at first and we weren’t really taking it too seriously. We stopped touching the board and we blew out all of the candles only to have them all re-light by themselves. My mother’s friend’s family lived in a house that was in one of the oldest recorded towns in Texas. The friend’s mother who lived there had seen a ghost of a Civil War soldier appear there several times. He would just appear and stare at her and then disappear. My mom and her friend played with a Ouija board in that house and my mom said that furniture in the room started shaking and it made a lot of noise and also drawers in some piece of furniture started coming in and out. That is all she said happened but she was sure it was provoked by a ghost since it happened when they were playing with the Ouija board.
