This happened in 1966 when I was ten. It isn’t very dramatic, but it was quite scary enough for me. I was at a convent boarding school in the United Kingdom. The Rydges Hotel, Hobart, Tasmania was apparently a converted school. One visitor sensed the kids may still be there. Here is his review from tripadviser.com.
