Littel Sailor Boy
26 January 2018 | Haunted locations, Your Stories, Your True Encounters
On a hot sunny summer morning, halfway up the mountainside, opposite the Macbeth arms near Alford in Aberdeenshire, a small boy dressed in Victorian sailor suite came skipping along past me. He looked a real. Except that he was sort of lit up, kind of glowing, and so clean. He passed between a co worker and myself. I couldn’t break my gaze and just stood there gob struck. The lad wasn’t touching the ground and effortlessly swept past. Where had he come from?. There’s nothing but empty mountain for miles above us. Where was he going?. It’s along way to the road. He was way to young to be out here on his own. Did you see that? Charlie. The lad had passed between us. I asked my co-worker. See what?

Haunted Fiddletown
22 January 2018 | Haunted locations, Your Stories, Your True Encounters
Something draws me and my wife Deanna Jaxine Stinson to Fiddletown. We received all kinds of reports of haunted activity at Fiddletown. But, you are probably wondering where is Fiddletown? Fiddletown is about 45 minutes away from Sacramento, close to the town of Jackson, CA. Fiddletown was settled in 1849 by Missourians who came to California because of the California Gold Rush. Fiddletown had its share of mining camps and trading centers. In the 1860 census, the Chinese community in Fiddletown was up to 2000. Fiddletown got its name because of Dry Creek. Dry Creek would run dry in the Summer months and the miners basically didn’t work in the Summertime, because they had no water from Dry Creek. People would say they just fiddled around, henceforth was born the

The Whistling Ghost of Calke Abbey
06 January 2018 | Haunted houses, Haunted locations
Calke Abbey is a run down stately home that is now owned by the National Trust in the UK. It is kept in the state that it was in when handed over to the NT and so visitors are treated to a glimpse of its former glories. It’s peeling walls and overgrown gardens paint a picture of the decadence of a former period and the harsh realities of changing family fortunes. The stately home was built on the site of a former religious house – Calke Priory – but it lasted only a few years and was eventually dissolved by Henry VIII. The estate was eventually purchased by Henry Harpur in 1622 for £5,350 and it stayed in the Harpur family until the National Trust began caring for it in

Spirit Activity Bothers Guests at The Green Lobster Hotel in Prague
18 December 2017 | Haunted houses, Haunted locations, Your Stories, Your True Encounters
In searching for other ghost stories during my research for a book on the paranormal in the Czech Republic, I came across a rather remarkable review of a Prague hotel in Trip advisor. The Residence Green Lobster is a luxury four-star hotel in Prague 1. It got the following 5-star review on TripAdvisor.com in 2011. My wife and I stayed at the wonderful Green lobster hotel and we had the first suite on the first floor. The suite was amazing and more than comfortable, we have to say by far the best hotel we have stayed at in our trips to Prague. However we did believe there was a little bit of spiritual activity in the suite to keep us both entertained. Both my wife and I struggle to believe

The Crooked Fiddler
12 December 2017 | Haunted locations, Your True Encounters
Where the town of Bradley Stoke near Bristol in the UK was built, there once stood a small wood called Fiddler Wood, its name lives on as Fiddlers Wood Road. The wood is said to have got its name from the legend of a creepy old man who used to tempt children from the local farmhouses into the woods with the sound of his fiddle. He’s sometimes described as a dark or shadowy figure. And although Fiddlers Woods no longer remains, there are several other small areas of woodland in the town and people often report hearing disembodied music coming from the woods at night or echoing around the time on summer evenings. There’s even been sightings of the figure as recently as 2015, in one of the local pubs,

Burned at the Queen Mary Ship
01 December 2017 | Haunted locations, Your Stories, Your True Encounters
On a cool day, my wife decided to enjoy our weekend by visiting the Queen Mary Ship in Long Beach, California. We live only about 40 minutes away from it and decided to make a day of it. The Queen Mary is a fascinating place, full of history and mystery. This ship was a trans Atlantic luxury cruise ship and during WWII served as a troop transport carrying thousands of US troops to and from Europe. She was painted grey and was named the Grey Ghost. During one of it’s many missions, the Queen Mary accidentally crashed into one of it’s escort ships and literally split it in half, killing many sailors. After the war the ship eventually returned to being a passenger cruise ship with it’s black and red

This October we are going to bring you some of the most interesting #true paranormal cases we can find. You can discover more true, terrifying accounts of the paranormal right here. Are there portals to other dimensions, other existences, or planes? Well, if there are, one scary example might well be Houska Castle situated about 50km north of the Czech capital city, Prague, also known locally as The Gate To Hell. Over 1000-years ago, much of the Czech countryside would have been dense forest. In the Houska area, those forests would have been dark, gloomy, damp, and eerie as the area is famous for its sandstone formations known as ‘Skaly’. The sandstone in the area erodes out into block-like formations that jut ominously in many locations, creating an eerie but

Halloween Case #17 – The Highgate Vampire and The Dueling Magicians

This October we are going to bring you some of the most interesting #true paranormal cases we can find. You can discover more true, terrifying accounts of the paranormal right here. Back in the early 1970’s, the case of the Highgate Vampire was repeatedly in the news. It was a scary and somewhat grisly story and I recall reading in horror and fascination everything the media printed at that time. In retrospect, the subplot of two men interested in the occult and determined to outdo each other is even more interesting. Highgate cemetery was built in the 1830’s and was the place to be buried in society at the time. Many famous people are interred there including Karl Marx. In line with the style of the time, the graves are

Halloween Case #7 – Did I See the Ohio Dog Man?
10 October 2017 | Haunted locations, Your Stories, Your True Encounters
This October we are going to bring you some of the most interesting #true paranormal cases we can find. You can discover more true, terrifying accounts of the paranormal right here. I’m 54-year-old and was born and raised in the Cumberland/Appalachian mountains of Virginia. I played in the woods alone, explored from mountain top to mountain top even when I was little – as young as 5 or 6. That was my backyard and my playground. I’ve worked, lived, hunted and camped in those mountains all my life. I’ve trudged those paths many-many times in the pitch dark and slept out on the ground without even a light to see by. Not once have I ever been uncomfortable in the woods or seen anything unusual – Same with Kentucky, Tennessee, North

My phone was ringing. Normally, I would open my eyes before answering the phone then try to go back to sleep, but this time I opened my eyes and was immediately startled as there was a shadow of a female figure with long black hair parted down the middle and what seemed like a long flowing gown or robe. I could not see her face, it was shadowed, but I knew it was a woman. I just knew. Because I’ve experienced encounters like this in the past, I’ve learned to confront and rebuke these spirits by calling out the name of

Halloween Case #2: Can A Ghost Move Into Your House?

This October we are going to bring you some of the most interesting #true paranormal cases we can find. You can discover more true, terrifying accounts of the paranormal right here. I live in a newly built house. To my knowledge there have been no deaths on this plot of land. There have been no graveyards in this area. My phone has been randomly turning off a lot lately. I’ll turn it on for a few minutes, and then it just turns off-the batteries fully charged and everything. I don’t know what’s wrong. Same with my laptop, only it won’t turn on until you’ve tried it at least five times. I also feel an unknown presence everywhere in my house, but it’s the strongest in my room. I have absolutely

The Quarry in Winter
11 September 2017 | Haunted locations, Your Stories, Your True Encounters
I walk my dog four times a day, whatever the weather or time of year. It gives both of us exercise but also gives me time to think, away from the burden of the home and its distractions. Our rambles around the small English country village in which we live, rarely follow the same route. There is much to see in Kent, and the little village of Charing has some real ancient gems if one is prepared to search for them. The village can claim to be over a thousand years old, having seen settlements from the iron age, through the Saxons and Romans into the medieval period, and right up to the present day. The high street is beautiful, meandering up The Hill past the historic market place, palace

I Think My Hotel Room is Haunted?
07 July 2017 | Haunted locations, Your Stories, Your True Encounters
By now, you will all know of my interest in haunted hotels 0 well, here is another this time from Reddit…. Taking a 12 day vacation in Honolulu, and I’m on my 4th day here, and it’s around 10:01 pm as of right now. The lamp in the corner consistently flickers on and off, but this I can attribute to the outlet not working that well. The other things I can’t explain though. My family is constantly looking for things that inexplicably disappear and reappear in different places, and we’re arguing a lot more than we should be on a vacation. Last night I heard loud, very fast stomping above our room. It always goes from the Ceiling above my window and ends in front of my hotel door. The

The Ancients Walk At Night
06 July 2017 | Haunted locations, Shadow people, Your Stories, Your True Encounters
This story happened when my friends and I were traveling through the state of Utah. After having a few drinks at a local bar, we went back to the hotel. I looked at my watch and found that it was already ten in the evening. My friends are already asleep on a separate bed and all the lights are off except the one coming from the balcony where the light is still on. I felt restless. As a habit, I would grab my phone and started checking Facebook, scrolling down until I get sleepy and doze off. It wasn’t long before my sleep was interrupted by a movement in the room. I thought it’s one of my friends already awake and preparing for a day of hiking. I found it
