By now, you will all know of my interest in haunted hotels 0 well, here is another this time from Reddit…. Taking a 12 day vacation in Honolulu, and I’m on my 4th day here, and it’s around 10:01 pm as of right now. The lamp in the corner consistently flickers on and off, but this I can attribute to the outlet not working that well. The other things I can’t explain though. My family is constantly looking for things that inexplicably disappear and reappear in different places, and we’re arguing a lot more than we should be on a vacation. Staying at the Chicago Congress Plaza Hotel and Convention Center doesn’t sound like a great idea based on some of the reviews I read. We walked into the lobby of this hotel and thought how beautiful it looked. We were very excited. However, the were very few people working the desk and check-in took a long time. Finally after getting our key we went up to our room. Since the lobby looked fantastic, we thought our room would be too. However, as we unlocked the door to our room we were very disappointed. Today, we return to reviews at tripadvisor.com for some more true scary experiences and encounters. It really is quite an unintended source of supernatural material! The Rosen Inn International, Orlando, looks like a normal large hotel. Located conveniently close to Universal Studios, it must do very well. However, apparently, one room has a permanent guest… Do not stay in room 1170. I booked a room at a great price. Our keys did not work the 1st time. Went to front desk to get the keys to work. Continuing with the theme of reviews on TripAdvisor.com, apparently the Retlaw Plaza in Fond du Lac, Wisconisn has some issues with unwanted guests too… “Terrifying!!” Reviewed August 9, 2014 When I checked in, they couldn’t find my reservation but assured me they would find a room for me. The room was okay but I could tell it hadn’t been occupied in awhile because there was a thin layer of dust throughout the room and a dead bouquet of flowers. I didn’t go to bed until almost 1:00 a.m. But woke up abruptly at 2:51 a.m. I could hear this “roaring” sound and the water faucet was turned on at full blast!!
