I had moved to a new city and had found an apartment overlooking a nice street. That there was a graveyard right behind the house was something I figured much later. Anyway, this was a first-floor house with huge windows in the bedroom. The air was fresh and minty so I left the windows open at night. Right beneath my window, the guard of the building used to sit with his dog. One night, at around 3 am I was woken up by the guard’s dog’s manic barking. I was just thinking to myself why this dog is barking like mad and why isn’t the guard doing anything about it, when all of a sudden, the dog went quiet. My room became a bit extra chilly almost immediately and I pulled up the sheets and turned on my side. Something didn’t feel right. I felt watched. A few moments later, a hand of air slapped my back. I started shaking in fear. Then I felt some ‘air’ this close to my face. I was shaking like a leaf like I’d get a heart attack any moment. This ghost kissed my lips (it’s the weirdest feeling in the world, can’t describe) then whispered, “Scared, aren’t you?” And then it went away. I called an uber and roamed on the streets the rest of the night.
