A relative suffered an untimely death that shook our whole family to the core. Their passing was in early December many years ago and our family, grief-stricken, endeavoured to decorate our tree. The box of decorations was kept in a space under the stairs in our basement. That year, the box was nowhere to be found. Our family went out and bought entirely new tree decorations. While researching Poltergeist for my little book called Poltergeist, I came across a lot of very creepy stories and encounters but I missed this one which honestly, is the best Poltergeist story I have ever read! Apparently, in 1910 in a little Irish town called Enniscorthy. Three lodgers sharing a room experienced hellish activity. It started with the bedclothes being pulled off of one of the men, strange tapping noises, footsteps and the bed moving across the room by itself. Over the course of a week, the activity increased with the bed bing lifted at one point. The Guardian newspaper heard of the activity and sent reporters to cover the incident. Living In A Haunted Mill

10 years ago my wife and I bought an old Mill that was built in 1876. It’s situated right on the River Gade in Hertfordshire and while this building is indeed old there has been a Mill of some sort on this site as evidenced in the Domesday book in 1086. It took place in the Rutherglen, Scotland, home of Mrs. Shreenan who lived there with her son and, from a media perspective anyway, began with an amazing tale of a flying Chihuahua dog. Today, I pulled someone’s post from Reddit as it is really quite a good story. I am researching poltergeist stories for the next Kindle short and this one shows that sometimes, they do have a sense of humor.
