When I was younger growing up in a third world country, I noticed that my fear of darkness was not because of the inability to see what’s around me, yet the presence that I felt came out when it turned pitch black. My last book was Motel Hell and it was a collection of reviews by scared guests of various hotels and motels around the world. It’s amazing what you can find on TripAdvisor! Anyway, here is another review of a Wetherspoons in Bodmin, Cornwall for you. It’s not in the book…….. but the place looks creepy! I used to spend my Christmas holidays with my family on my Uncle’s ex-wife’s farm in the Eastern Cape region of South Africa. Many years ago, this area was the location of many skirmishes between the Xhosa people who were moving south after being displaced by the Zulus, and the British who were deployed to the area to defend colonial settlers.
