Ouija Nightmare

08 April 2020 | Haunted houses, ouiji boards, Your Stories, Your True Encounters

With an absence of stories at the moment, I have been trawling Reddit looking for some good ones to post here. And I found this…. I think its very creepy and reminds me of why I do not like Ouija boards…. Back in 2013, my friends and I were bored one night and decided to make an ouija board. Always a good idea, right? Well my best friend lives way out in the country about a 45 minute drive from the closest store, so there wasn’t much to do. We had spent the day hanging out watching movies, which we eventually got bored of. It was me, my best friend A, her boyfriend M, and his best friend B. I forget who’s idea it was to make the ouija board,

Ouija Board Hell?

12 November 2019 | ouiji boards, Your Stories, Your True Encounters

Have you ever played with one? We used to play with one all of the time at school as kids. I don’t recall anything bad happening as a result of it but this Reddit user did…….. This story happened, in October of 2004. Back when I was still a 3rd-year high school student. My friends and I, stuck around the school, late at night, after our annual Halloween Party. We had agreed to try out my friend’s Ouija Board. It wasn’t the brightest idea, but we needed a thrill. We found a nice spot under a huge Narra Tree and proceeded with our half-assed ritual. There were 5 of us, 2 boys and 3 girls, we were all expecting some kind of paranormal contact. Rumors had it our school was

Repercussion of using a Ouija Board

31 October 2019 | ouiji boards, Shadow people, Your Stories, Your True Encounters

First off, I have been investigating the paranormal for 49 years. Having seen so much in this time, I have investigated some of the most haunted places here in Indiana. One place that stands out in investigating Central State Mental Asylum in Indianapolis, Indiana. Some of the best evidence was gathered there. Knowing the history of Central State made me want to investigate it even more. The story I am about to tell you is true and I will state my reputation on it. Back in 2003, my late wife bought my daughter a Ouija Board. I immediately told her to get rid of it. She asked me why and I told her, these devices can cause harm. She laughed it off and said, “Everything will be fine.” I said,

Playing with the Devil

25 October 2019 | Demons, ouiji boards, Your Stories, Your True Encounters

I was very young, very lost, confused and didn’t have a lot of support growing up. I was an only child and was passed around from family member to family member. Not saying I was the perfect child. I just didn’t have the best people to guide me. I was raised in the church, I mean 6 days a week and some weekends always in church. I didn’t want church, I didn’t want to be with all these different family members. I wanted my mother. Who for some reason or another was never around. I started acting out in school. Stealing, fighting etc. Finally my mother decided to send me to my aunts house. As if that wasn’t enough to add on to the stress of a teenager but she

The Floating Baby Doll

10 September 2019 | ouiji boards, Your Stories, Your True Encounters

It all happened on a warm summer night, we lived in California at that time, my sister and I were around the ages of 9 and 10. We decided to play a game of hide and seek, in the driveway, there were enough cars parked outside to have great hiding spots. I remember that night very clearly, I remember my sister and I were having a great time that warm Cali night. As it got darker my sister and I decided we would play one last time before heading back inside. It was my turn to hide, as she was counting I decided to hide behind an old yellow truck that was parked near our garage door. it wasn’t the best hiding place she found me fairly fast. Found you!

Summoning Jack the Ripper – Bad Idea?

20 February 2019 | Haunted houses, ouiji boards, Your Stories, Your True Encounters

“I was at a slumber party in 8th grade with a few of my friends when we decided (stupidly) to have a seance in her unfinished basement. We were having fun and giggling as we were trying to figure out who to summon when someone suggested Jack the Ripper (a serial killer from the late 1800’s) and I immediately got a pit in my stomach. “No,” I spoke up, “we shouldn’t summon something evil.” “That’s right,” called a MAN’S VOICE from the other side of the cellar. (!!!!) There were no boys or men there (we were home alone). Another girl and I heard it. I’ll never be the same.” Abby

The Dolls Move!

07 August 2018 | Haunted houses, ouiji boards, Your Stories, Your True Encounters

When I was about 15 years old, I remember my sister talking about her and her friends playing with an Ouija board. She used to collect dolls and had them all over her room. One day I decided to tell her that I heard her dolls talking just to mess with her. All of a sudden she couldn’t sleep anymore, was crying, and told my dad that there was something or someone in her room. I laughed and told her that I was just messing around and that I was joking. This continued for a while, she would say that the dolls were moving around the room at night. One night while in bed, I heard something, a sound coming from underneath my bed, the sound of one of my

Ouija Halloween

21 May 2018 | Haunted houses, ouiji boards, Your Stories, Your True Encounters

There were always signs in our old house that it was haunted. Before mom, dad and I lived there, it was owned by my great grand ma and grand pa Nana and Dee which whom passed away when I was very young and that we believed haunted the house. Some of the strange happenings were disembodied voices (which my mom claimed sounded like Nana), things disappearing only to be found later in the spot it was missing, leaving the house for errands to find the bath tub filled with water and wet foot prints on the floor, distorted faces reflecting in windows and in mirrors and the feeling you have when someone sits on the edge of the bed, but no one is there, to just name a few. I

Ouija Board Terror

12 May 2017 | Haunted items, ouiji boards, Your Stories, Your True Encounters

I live in West Virginia. This is where my experience took place. I am now over fifty years old, but I was just over ten when this happened. My mother bought me a Ouija board thinking it was a game. One night while my dad was at work, we got out the board, lit a candle and put it in the middle of the table. We placed our fingers lightly on the planchette. Mom asked if there was anyone there that wanted to speak to us. I was giggling. She asked again. The planchette then moved to YES. I told mom she was moving it and she said she was not. My mother asked, “Who are you?” The planchette then went to each letter and spelled Alberts. We did not

Ouija Board Hell After Trying to Contact Granddad

12 December 2016 | ouiji boards, Your Stories, Your True Encounters

My Grandfather passed away when I was twelve and I had to move into his old room – the one where he had passed. A few months later, I had a friend sleep over and we thought it might be fun to play with a witch board. So we lit some candles and decided to see if we could contact my Grandfather. Nothing happened at first and we weren’t really taking it too seriously. We stopped touching the board and we blew out all of the candles only to have them all re-light by themselves. The glass continued to move around violently across the board on its own… my friend lost it and asked to go home and she did. Later, I resumed playing with the board myself. My TV

Ouija Board Hell in America

17 August 2016 | Doppelgangers, ouiji boards, Your Stories, Your True Encounters

This is a very strange tale submitted by a site visitor in which her double is seen on multiple occasions and even spoken with on one. Was the doppelganger a result of playing with a Ouija board? Back when I was still in high school, a strange set of events occurred to me. It all began one night when my two younger sisters were in their bedroom on the second floor of our house with the door open. I was downstairs watching TV with my parents and had decided to go upstairs because it was late and I was ready for bed. When I went into the bedroom, my youngest sister looked at me and laughed. She asked why I had been on the stairs waving at her and smiling
